Neighbourbase Listing Policy
Neighbourbase is committed to ensuring that it provides a safe and fair environment for all its users. By Signing Up on Neighbourbase and agreeing to the terms of use, you indicate that you agree to and will abide by this Listing Policy.
The Listing Policy that is outlined provides you a list of products or services that we disallow you from listing, because it either comes in the way of Neighbourbase’s goal of providing a safe environment for all users on the website or it violates government rules and regulations.
We urge you to go through the listing policy before listing a product or a service on Neighbourbase, to make sure that it is allowed to be listed and does not violate any government rules and regulations. Make sure your listing follows the guidelines. If it doesn’t, the listing will be removed and a warning issued. If the offense is repeated, all your other listings will be taken down and your account suspended with immediate effect.
- 1) Alcohol & Drugs
- Neighbourbase restricts the listing of alcohol, liquor, drugs, and tobacco of any kind, including paraphernalia relating to the use of drugs.
- 2) Counterfeit or Pirated Goods
- Users are not allowed to list any products or services that aren’t original, which includes duplicates of other items or pirated media such as books and CDs.
- 3) Stolen Goods
- Users are not allowed to list any products or services that they obtained through unlawful means or products or services that are legally not owned by them.
- 4) Explosives
- Users are restricted from listing any destructive or explosive materials including any other material that may enable the making of explosive triggers or explosive devices
- 5) Pesticides and Harmful Chemicals
- Any Hazardous Chemical substances or Pesticides that are in violation of the Hazardous Chemicals Act, 1985 are not allowed to be listed on Neighbourbase.
- 6) Lottery Tickets and Sweepstakes
- Users are not permitted to list any lottery tickets or sweepstakes that they create or from any other third party as well.
- 7) Weapons and firearms
- Users are restricted from listing any weapons or related firearms that are prohibited under the Indian Fire Arms Act 1959.
- 8) Sexual Content
- Users are not allowed to list any sexual content or sexually offensive goods or services on Neighbourbase. This includes pornographic media, prostitution services or any other goods or services that tend to violate accepted standards of morality and decency, upheld by relatedsonable adults in society.
- 9) Intellectual Property
- Users are not allowed to list any goods or services that may infringe upon the intellectual property rights of some other individual.
- 10) Description of Listing
- Users must ensure that the descriptions that they provide for listings are accurate and do not provide any misleading or inaccurate facts about the product or service that they are listing. The description must refrain from including any material whether text or graphic that may hurt the religious sentiments of certain sections in society.
- 11) Listing Rules
- Users must ensure to list the products or services that they are listing under the appropriate category. Each product or service can have only one listing under the different listing options, which include, rent, sell, give, lend. Multiple listings of the same product in the different listing options are not allowed.
- 12) Location of Listing
- To provide the users of Neighourbase the best experience while using, we urge all the users to make sure that they list their products in the correct location.
- 13) Scam Listings
- Listings that provide fraudulent information or seek to defraud users of Neighbourbase are not allowed. Spam listings are also not allowed, a spam listing is one that is posted multiple times under different listing options. Each product or service can only have one listing under each listing category.
